September 12-14, 2026: It was honor to serve as a Guardian on the second annual Montana's Continental Divide Honor Flight. This was my 22nd trip taking veterans to Washington, DC. John Moon, Army Ranger, and Patrick Walker, Navy Corpsman, were the two Vietnam veterans I was responsible for. I have now accompanied 2,814 veterans on their trips to Washington, DC.
11-28-24: It is an honor to volunteer on the serving line at Sykes for Thanksgiving again this year. I am grateful for all that Sykes does for our community.
7-16-25: My nephews and I were absolutely thrilled to meet DJ at the White House today. "D.J." Daniel is the 13-year-old, who was recently sworn in as an honorary Special Agent for the Secret Service. I was so glad to shake his hand, congratulate him on his achievement and wish him well on his recovery from brain and spinal cord cancer. Prayers for DJ.
5-14-26: Gina and I are delighted to announce our student scholarship has been finalized at Moraine Valley Community College. Students will be able to apply for the “Dr. and Mrs. Ricardo A. Fernandez Associate Degree in Science Scholarship” at Moraine Valley Community College each year. We are thankful to support our alma mater and future students.
