10-7-26: I have been so blessed to have traveled with 2,814 of our nation's heroes on their trips to Washington, DC. Looking back and reflecting on these opportunities fills me with gratitude.
I was honored to travel with 84 veterans on Inland Northwest Honor Flight out of Spokane, WA, on October 13-14, 2026. This is a picture I took with Vietnam veteran Bernie Wilhelm Jr.
7-16-25: My nephews and I were absolutely thrilled to meet DJ at the White House today. "D.J." Daniel is the 13-year-old, who was recently sworn in as an honorary Special Agent for the Secret Service. I was so glad to shake his hand, congratulate him on his achievement and wish him well on his recovery from brain and spinal cord cancer. Prayers for DJ.
5-14-26: Gina and I are delighted to announce our student scholarship has been finalized at Moraine Valley Community College. Students will be able to apply for the “Dr. and Mrs. Ricardo A. Fernandez Associate Degree in Science Scholarship” at Moraine Valley Community College each year. We are thankful to support our alma mater and future students.
